Eucalyptus and cardamom take the heart, cool and lightly spiced, keeping the freshness from turning one dimensional. Pine tree and cedar close the foundation dry and resinous, a straightforward woody finish with nothing extraneous added. The whole composition runs on six materials total, remarkably spare for a mainstream release and confident enough not to need more. L.12.12 Blanc Cologne is a citrus green Eau de Parfum, built for daytime wear and outdoor plans. Lacoste rarely overcomplicates things, and this one proves the point.
